We did a thing….
Welcome to Hacienda de Luna!
After 6 months of being back in Georgia, we finally purchased our first house. We’ve saved and saved, and made many sacrifices with the help of our family and friends. The 2 year wait was worth it and it feels so good to call a space ‘our home.’ It also feels so good to not have to move in another couple of years. We are staying put (for now)!
We did end up buying the first house we toured but we did our fair share of internet searching and drive by’s. Our realtor was amazing and she made the whole process a breeze and stress free. (If you are local and need a realtor, email me and I will give you contact information.) Once we pulled up to the house for the tour, we knew it was the one. It had all of our must haves: not in a neighborhood, ranch brick (4 sided), fenced in back yard, and a fireplace. The rest is history.
It was built in the 1970’s and has a Spanish vibe to it with the archways. It is the perfect size for us, about 1350 square feet on the main level and 1450 square feet in the basement. It needs a facelift but has a ton of potential.
Que the ‘before’ pictures!
(complete with popcorn ceilings :/)
GUEST ROOM 1
each room’s closet is painted an interesting color. The master closet is baby blue, guest room 2 is brown, and this room’s closet is lavender? pink?
GUEST ROOM 2
The master bath is tiny! It can barely squeeze in a single vanity but it does have a good sized stand-up shower. I am sorry I don’t have a full picture of the bathroom, there was no way I could stand at an angle to where I could get a full view of the bathroom.
(coming soon- I forgot)
I also forgot to take a picture of the master bedroom, once we get around to tackling that room, I will take a good before photo.
We have done a few things in the 2 weeks we have been home. We ripped up an old swing-set and jungle gym from the back yard and painted the fireplace brick white. The first big thing we want to do is replace the flooring. Right now there is 3 different flooring going on- tile, hardwood, and carpet. We hope to remove everything and lay down engineered hardwood.
That is it for now. Im sure more pictures and projects are to come!
