Day 2 of NaBloPoMo and what better thing to talk about in today’s post than celebrating 2 years of marriage in blog form!
In the past 2 years we have moved across the country from Georgia to Colorado, adopted our first dog Rosa, then Finley. I started a job as a nurse in labor and delivery, Brett got his dream job developing some awesome shoes, we downsized from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apartment, and we paid off all our debt!!
It hasn’t always been rainbows and butterflies. We ended this year with a job loss but have learned to work better as a team, communicate more purposefully, and learned the meaning of grace.
Brett, you are 100% opposite of me and I love it. You pick me up when I am down, challenge me to chase my dreams, and help me to see the good in every situation. I am so glad you are a “glass full” kinda guy and wouldn’t change a thing about you. Thank you for putting up with my ever-changing mind, my tendency to come home with dogs without talking to you about it, and my type-A personality. Can’t wait for another 80+ years with you!
It is so fun looking back at our wedding pictures and re-living that special day. Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be. We got married under a large pecan tree on a beautiful restored plantation property in Newnan, Georgia. If you have time, check out our wedding featured on SouthernWeddings.com by clicking this link.
